Presenters
Darren Crovitz is Professor of English and English Education and the director of English Education at Kennesaw State University, where he works with pre-service and in-service English teachers on grammar and writing instruction, media and technology integration, and ELA methodology for middle and high schools. He is the co-author of Grammar to Get Things Done: A Practical Guide for Teacher Anchored in Real World Usage (Routledge/NCTE, 2016) and Inside Out: Strategies for Teaching Writing (Heinemann, 2012).
Heather Barton teaches AP English Language and Advanced Composition for the Cherokee County School District. She received her Bachelor of Science, Master of Education, and Education Specialist in Secondary English from Kennesaw State University. Currently, Heather is working towards completion of an Education Doctorate in Secondary English with a research focus on writing motivation and self-efficacy. Whether in the classroom or directing the school’s writing center, Heather’s passion for writing embraces and supports faculty and students in all modalities of writing.
