Performance standards provide clear expectations for instruction, assessment, and student work. They define the level of work that demonstrates achievement of the standards, enabling a teacher to know “how good is good enough.” Performance standard incorporate content standards but expands upon them by providing suggested tasks, sample student work, and teacher commentary on that work.
In additional support of the standards, the SAT Online Course is now available to all Georgia teachers and students in grades 9-12. SAT Online Educator Accounts allow teachers to make assignments, have the assignments computer scored, and sent to Class Rosters each teacher may build. Teachers may also print items for instructional and assessment purposes in the classroom. All SAT skills have been aligned to the GPS and may be used as resources for assessing rigor in GPS classes.
Teachers may request an access code by sending an e-mail to: satonlinecourseschool@collegeboard.com. Upon receipt of the code, go to The Official SAT Online Course website and follow the instructions. Parents and students should request an access code from their guidance counselor.
